Selection and application evidence
Use the published product information to shortlist a model, then verify the current datasheet, protocol, power supply, certificate scope and destination requirements before specifying or purchasing.
WANLIN-340 is a standalone heat alarm with local sound and light warning plus NB-IoT event reporting. It is intended for environments where a smoke alarm may be unsuitable, including dusty areas, kitchens, boiler rooms and locations where smoke or steam can normally remain in the air. The detector continuously evaluates temperature and initiates its alarm when the configured threshold is reached.
WANLIN-340 at a glance
MCU-based temperature evaluation with automatic recovery after the ambient temperature falls.
Red indicator and built-in sounder provide audible and visual alarm notification.
The documented NB-IoT module sends alarm data to the associated IoT service.

Application guidance
The manual describes installation in factories, homes, shops, equipment rooms, warehouses and other locations where smoke detection may be unsuitable. It lists high-humidity environments, dusty areas, smoking rooms, kitchens, boiler rooms, generator rooms and drying workshops as example applications. Final detector selection and spacing must follow the project fire strategy and applicable local rules.
Alarm threshold: The supplied manual refers to a preset temperature threshold but does not state its numeric value. Confirm the current threshold, classification and project acceptance requirements before ordering.
Installation and testing
The manual describes ceiling mounting and a nominal 30 m² protection area where the space height is below 8 m, subject to the project design standard.
Drill two mounting holes 75 mm apart and secure the base with suitable expansion plugs and screws.
Connect the 3 V lithium battery with the correct polarity, then attach and lock the detector to its base.
Use the test control to confirm the red indicator and audible signal before handover and during scheduled maintenance.
Status and maintenance
- Normal status: the indicator flashes approximately once every 50 seconds.
- Low battery: below 2.7 V, the indicator and a single chirp occur approximately every 50 seconds.
- Alarm status: the red indicator illuminates and the sounder operates when the preset threshold is reached.
- Silence: pressing the control during alarm temporarily silences the sounder for approximately 80 seconds; the alarm resumes if the condition remains.
- Do not dismantle or repair the detector without qualified support.
